With its eye-catching visuals and standardized format, the postcard is the Instagram’ avant-garde. For this exhibition, presented in 2024 at the Delta in Namur, the studio focused on a spatial organization that evokes this multiplicity of images. Space and circulation play with openings, perspectives and points of view, leading the public to sit and admire images in constant relation to one another.
Colorful works by Picabia, Marcel Duchamp and Oriol Vilanova are displayed in a black-and-white environment evoking the neutral back of a postcard.
To present the 1,500 postcards in this exhibition, the studio designed the entire scenography based on the size of the existing material of the cultural center. The metal structures and wooden frames became walls and showcases to protect the artworks. All building systems were designed to be produced by Delta's technical team, creating a local production site and avoiding transport.
